Statement of Philosophy

Kinderclub Childcare in partnership with children and families acknowledges and values the traditional custodians of the land, elders past and present the Yalukit Willam and Kulin Nation.

We acknowledge that children belong first to family and community and we respect the diverse cultures, abilities and beliefs of families.

We are a community of learners with shared understandings that children are capable and confident learners. We draw on a range of perspectives to create an environment which invites children to:

Master skills
Express curiosity
Build relationships
Respect themselves, others and the environment
Make connections between prior experiences and new learning.

Our work is underpinned by the Early Years Learning Frameworks which encourages educators to notice, recognize, respond and reflect on children’s and their own learning and development.

The Centre promotes growth and independence through positive nurturing, inclusive care, both in individual and social group situations. We emphasise that all children be invited and encouraged to participate at their own pace so that they may learn through their play. The centre draws on the expertise of other professionals when required.

Our dedicated and caring educators are committed for the long-term to building a sense of security and belonging, not only for children but also parents. By building relationships with families we can gain valuable input for the running of our centre. We believe in constantly striving for a better understanding of our role as early childhood professionals, so that we might better the service we provide.
